Selectboard hires firefighters, approves truck repairs and service contracts

NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown selectboard hires two firefighters, approves $31,624 in truck repairs and municipal contracts. Fire Chief Eric Lambert requested approval to hire Brian Rondeau as lieutenant/advanced EMT at $28.22 per hour effective March 15, 2026, and Robert Schneider as full-time firefighter/EMT at $24.50 per hour effective March 29, 2026, following a call firefighter resignation. The board unanimously approved both hires.
The board also unanimously approved $31,624 to WD Perkins for ladder truck repairs from the Emergency Services Revolving Fund, and unanimously approved contracts with TFM Structural Engineers ($2,200), Kearsarge Solar LLC, and Gallagher, Callahan & Gartrell Law Firm for legal representation effective February 23, 2026.
