Selectboard approves consent calendar, addresses staffing gap
Board Of Selectmen · Meeting of July 27, 2026
NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown selectmen approve consent calendar amid staffing shortage. The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved a 19-item consent calendar on a motion by Diane Adinolfo, seconded by Kris Fowler, with four of five members present. Town Administrator John Harrington reported only one application received for the Family Services/Multi-Dept Admin Assistant position, and the applicant did not meet requirements.
Harrington said he would recommend within two meeting cycles whether to convert the part-time position to full-time. Adinolfo noted the town cannot serve residents' needs until the position is filled. The board also learned the river race for Old Home Day has been cancelled due to administrative difficulties.
