NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown selectboard denies three tax abatement applications. The Board of Selectmen unanimously rejected applications from three residents citing New Hampshire state law limitations on qualifying grounds for abatement. In other action, the board approved hiring Alex Silva at $20.50 per hour effective March 23, approved a 10,000-cubic-yard excavation permit for property owned by Armand and Claudette Verville, and granted a $500 veterans credit to Martin Kester.
The board further authorized Road Agent Chad Pelissier to skip the RFP process for a potential trash contract contingent on Warrant Article 23 passage.
