Board approves one-way streets for Chester Turnpike and Reynolds Avenue

NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown selectmen approve one-way streets for Chester Turnpike and Reynolds Avenue. Following a public hearing where Road Agent Chad Pelissier and Fire Chief John Sartorelli expressed safety concerns about traffic once a new McDonald's opens, the board unanimously approved one-way designations for Chester Turnpike between Route 28 and Granite Street and Reynolds Avenue between Ferry Street and Whitten Street. Police Chief Beth Tower won approval to spend $655 for officer training, $55,916.40 for a Taser 10, and to hire a Patrol Sergeant at $32.63 to $40.57 per hour.
The Highway Department received approval to purchase a $9,706.57 Bobcat mower and spend $9,000 on gravel for the new highway building foundation.
