Board hires new call firefighter, approves building improvements

NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown Selectboard approves capital improvements, hires new firefighter. The board unanimously approved $11,952.50 in capital improvements from the New Municipal Building Capital Reserve Fund: $5,847.50 for flooring at Allenstown Elementary School entrances and $6,105.00 for pre-kindergarten hallway doors. The board also signed a three-year contract with Cartographic Association in Littleton for $5,500 and approved Allison Turcotte's oath of office to the Planning Board through April 30, 2028.
In staffing action, the board unanimously hired Seth Boden as a call firefighter at $24.02 per hour, effective January 26, while Fire Chief Eric Lambert requested $29,000 for a ladder truck part.
