Economic Development Committee Proposes Community Events Committee

NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown Economic Development Committee votes unanimously to propose new community events committee. Chairman Mike Frascinella led unanimous approval of a motion by member Peter Desantis to approach the Town Administrator and Board of Selectmen about establishing a separate Community Events and Recreation Committee, citing the current committee's dual function as confusing residents and hampering volunteer recruitment. The committee outlined 2026 events including a May 2 town-wide open house with raffle, farmers markets in July through September, and a trial summer concert budgeted at up to $600.
