Committee proposes Community Events and Recreation Committee

NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown Economic Development Committee proposes new Community Events and Recreation Committee structure. The Committee recommended a five-member body with staggered three-year terms, to be appointed by the Board of Selectmen, along with an ex-officio Parks and Recreation Director position when established. The Committee also reviewed approximately $117,000 in available Recreation Capital Improvement Funds, which could accelerate opening of the gymnasium by approximately one year.
