Selectmen approve $3,229.95 federal grant for police vests

NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown's Board of Selectmen unanimously approves federal grant for police ballistic vests. Chief of Police Beth Tower requested the $3,229.95 Bureau of Justice Assistance grant; the board approved it with any additional costs covered by the Police Department Uniforms line. Tower was authorized to sign future grant administrative documents.

In procedural action, the board also voted unanimously to revise the 2027 budget process: departments will present budgets directly to the Board of Selectmen before submitting to the Municipal Budget Committee beginning October.
