Planning Board monitors state legislation affecting zoning ordinance

NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown Planning Board reviews state legislative changes affecting land use regulations and zoning. The board received an update on pending New Hampshire bills, with House Bill 1246 identified as likely to require amendments to the town's zoning ordinance. The board was advised of three upcoming applications: residential housing on Class VI Dowst Road, redevelopment of the old ARD Middle School into workforce or market-rate apartments with a June 3 conceptual consultation, and a change of use on Ferry Street.
Planning Board member Michael Frascinella reported that excavation activities at the Pork Chop Hill property are progressing rapidly for future redevelopment.
