Planning Board considers two residential development proposals

Planning Board · Meeting of June 17, 2026

NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown Planning Board examines two residential-development proposals on Dowst Road and Granite Street. Brady Family LLC presented a conceptual plan to develop four parcels totaling approximately 51 acres on Class VI Dowst Road; under new state law effective July 1, 2026, the site could support one residential structure per 5-acre lot. Eastern Development LLC separately presented a four-unit duplex project on Granite Street, which will require zoning relief from the Zoning Board of Adjustment for multiple residential buildings on a single lot and two-family dwelling use.

Fire Inspector Loring Child advised that the driveway grade cannot exceed 12 degrees to accommodate fire apparatus access.
