Planning Board · Meeting of August 19, 2026

NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown Planning Board considered a working farmstand proposal at 194 River Road. Property owner Roger Staley presented plans for on-site sales and seasonal Christmas trees from his 4.5-acre agricultural property, acquired in 2021. The board determined no change of use occurred from agricultural, but concluded retail sales require Site Plan Review consideration.

Staley described hours of operation from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. mostly on weekends, with permeable gravel parking and potential Port-a-Potty facilities. A comparable farmstand in another municipality averages 10 to 20 customers daily. Staley indicated he will likely request a waiver from Site Plan Review and file an application.

The board also approved July 15 minutes unanimously and discussed updating the town's Master Plan with resident surveys.
