Zoning Board of Adjustment · Meeting of August 20, 2026

NH ALLENSTOWN — Eastern Development withdrew a four-unit duplex proposal after the Zoning Board raised concerns. The applicant, represented by Attorney Brett Allard and Ryan Tabor, had sought a special exception to permit two-family dwellings and a variance for two principal buildings on a single 3.09-acre Granite Street parcel in the R-1 residential district. Board Chair Keith Klaws stated members were prepared to deny the application due to insufficient engineering documentation on stormwater and traffic impacts, concerns also raised by abutting property owners Denise Deblois of 65 Granite Street and James Campbell of 6 Campbell Street.

Rather than face denial, the applicant requested a continuance, and when board members questioned their authority to grant one after entering deliberation, Eastern Development withdrew both applications.
