Budget Committee Recommends School Labor Deals, Citing Retention

Budget Committee · Meeting of June 18, 2026

NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown Budget Committee recommends school labor agreements totaling $208,558 in salary increases. The committee voted 4-0-1 to endorse a one-year teacher contract worth $163,628 for approximately 38 educators averaging $4,306 annually, and a paraprofessional agreement for $44,930 covering roughly 35 staff members; both include 3.5 percent wage increases. Pro Tem Chair Melaine Boisvert abstained from both votes due to a family member employed by the school district.

The district reported approximately 10 teachers left during the past year, with some accepting positions in neighboring districts offering $10,000 to $20,000 in additional salary.
