NH ALLENSTOWN — Allenstown Select Board approves per diem firefighter hires and street paving project. The board unanimously approved hiring Christopher Royale and Peyton Martin as per diem firefighters at $20.10 per hour each, effective September 27, 2026, to address staffing needs created by full-time departures cited by Fire Chief John Sartorelli. The board also unanimously approved a $69,684 paving project on Pender and Canal Streets, awarded to Advanced Paving from the Highway Construction Services fund, and created a Community Events & Recreation Committee after Facilities Supervisor Peter Desantis reported seven residents expressed interest in forming the group.
